first i must point out my use of idioms thanks DSW, you teach me a lot - at least when dictionaries can translate your English (:

just wanted to share some photos of my magazine. today is the first anniversary of my first visit to printing center, and 4 days later my magazine will be 1 year old (: i will send copies of 5 issues to you, if you send your adress information to our magazine's e-mail adress. contact me for that, please (: i know you will not understand even a single word, but this forum helped me a lot to improve my english, and i met with different "worlds" and points of view in this forum, you're not really aware of that but this forum has a great role in my evolution. so, those copies can be considered as remnants of my gratitude to you all, especially gumtree (:

it all began with this:

i remember as if it was yesterday... the happiness of that was beyond words. it was the first time i "created" a real thing, and though it was a bit "lame", many praised us, thanks to our sincere enthusiasm.

and then, all four issues! "poor but proud" as we say in Turkey (:



and me, designing pages of the magazine. tired, sleepless, hungry but still able to smile (:



so, thank you all, flufflanders. as i said before, you were not aware of it, perhaps, but you helped me to evolve, you helped me to become open-minded as much as i can... my magazine is not a great success in fact, but as we say in Turkey, we made it with blood and tears, so it means a lot to us, the crew. so, i couldn't prevent myself from showing my gratitude to all who helped me even a bit.

after two sleepless nights, and can't having a shower because you are soo obsessive that you can't take a shower when a lady is around, and eating less than you usually eat because you're a guest in two ladies' apartment and they prefer vegetables; that smile is a great success

Congratulations Tony. Your English has improved brilliantly since the last time I spoke to you. That you have your own magazine is a fantastic achievement. The next step is an English language version maybe?

thanks Moshei (: maybe, but you know, an English version wouldn't be very "charming" because the magazine is mostly consisted of poems, and many of those poems would lose their "artistic" value when translated (:

But if we manage to be counted among the most well-known magazines of Turkey, we can publish it bilingual, adding some English pages especially for those foreigners who live in Istanbul (:
