Hi everyone,
Please help! What is the source for the following quote by Sam Keen?

"We are the first generation bombarded with so many stories from so many authorities, none of which are our own...the unfortunate effect of being bombarded with all of these points of view is that we don’t have a point of view and we don’t have a story. We lose the continuity of our experiences; we become people who are written on from the outside"

We are the first generation bombarded with so many stories from so many "authorities," none of which are our own. The parable of the postmodern mind is the person surrounded by a media center: three television screens in front of them giving three sets of stories; fax machines bringing in other stories; newspapers providing still more stories. In a sense, we are saturated with stories; we're saturated with points of view. But the effect of being bombarded with all of these points of view is that we don't have a point of view and we don't have a story. We lose the continuity of our experiences; we become people who are written on from the outside.~Sam Keen (Story Lore)

Thank you for finding the full quote for me. I really appreciate it. Do you know what source this is from? I can't find anything written by Sam Keen called "Story Lore" . Any ideas?

Have you seen this webpage? It seems to reference the paragraph to 1973 and the only source it gives is:
Keen, S. & Valley-Fox, A. (1973). Your mythic journey: Finding meaning in your life through writing and storytelling. New York: Jeremy P. Tarcher.

Also noticed this webpage, but it didn’t pan out for pointing to any source

newspapers accouterment still added belief. In a faculty, we are saturated with belief; we're saturated with credibility of appearance. But the aftereffect of getting bombarded with all of these credibility of appearance is that we don't accept a point of appearance and we don't accept a adventure. We lose the chain of our adventures
