It seems the battle has come down to a matter of patience. Which side will get tired and give up? Mubarak has the all the government resources at his disposal to thwart the uprising but will defer from using it for now until he sees too much violence caused by impatience to justify the suppression.
The Egyptian people have to find ways and means other than demonstrating. Propaganda and more exposes against Hosni might make the difference. A million of 80M people will certainly not represent the majority sentiment.

We are hopeful my dear.
People are now gathering in huge numbers in Tahrir very keen to listen to Mubarak's speech ... they say, it will include his announcement of stepping down. Army is in charge now ...
Wish us good luck.
Libra.

Kicking those corrupt figures who kept clinging to Mubarak's lame regime.

Patience is an important factor indeed but people's persistence and determination to kick him out is stronger than his low life tricks. People are the power, far more powerful than him and his gang.

The news reports we are seeing are worrisome, apparently protesters are stopping a lot of ammunition.
In the great Australian way, it's a true problem now brcause ONE Aussie was temporarily detained.
I know someone who was WAY, WAY, ahead of his time:

Libra, it seems all of you may have achieved your first objective, our news is reporting that Mubarak is about to announce a step down - I hope we can send congratulations on that victory.
Now you all have to decide who you want instead when your elections come and keep some kind of unity to get a clear result. I do so hope your future is genuinely going to improve. With access to the internet you can really research your candidates - sincere good luck and be so very careful.

I have just come back home, checked the news and see I was too optimistic - dear Libra, I am so very sorry. Please take great care, whoever is in charge now your lives are going to be very difficult and there will be danger.
I hope so very much that you get true elections soon.

We Turkish nationalists will celebrate this tidings tonight (:
This event demonstrates that people can beat "phaoroh"s by standing their ground only. I hope the new leader of Egypt will be one of those who's been treated as "slaves", not one of high bourgeoise or aristocracy of the former regime.
Send some veteran activists to Turkey, sister, revolution must go on (: Our people has been sleeping for last 70 years, seems Egyptians know how to "awake the sleeping giant". (:
This song, "Freedom", is for you and all who supported the Tahrir square protests:

Quote: Switzerland's government moved Friday to freeze any assets in the country's banks that might belong to former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak or his family, the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs said Friday.
Mubarak ended his 30-year reign Friday, stepping down following 18 days of protests against his rule. (CNN.com's coverage)
