Are you for or against marriage between different nationalities?

What are the advantages and disadvantages that you can foretell happening as a result of this?

P.S: I would not hide it; its just some Scandinavian great person showing interest towards me ... so I am keenly interested to collect your precious advices and opinions in regards. Shall I move forward with these nice feelings and care of his or shall we remain friends? ... Bearing in mind the different backgrounds, cultures, traditions <---- would these become any obstacle between us or any other persons of different nationalities in the future?

Again; despite all we are humans (that's what I keep telling myself) and if we were not thinking and feeling the same, we would not ve become friends in the first place, right?


Anyways, I would love to hear your comments ... so important for me.

It may or may not be an issue, depending on the circumstances, the people involved, etc. For instance, two devout Jewish parents might have a serious problem their son falling in love with a nice Lutheran woman.

I will tell you from my own point of view that marrying between nationalities and races is good and natural. My brother married a Russian Jew. My other brother married a woman from Estonia.

Sounds good and encouraging then!

All this 'countries' stuff is rubbish. These are just political divisions. Can 2 human beings marry each other?

Absolutely agree

My sister and my daughter are happily married to partners from very different cultures.

Just be aware that it may take quite a while for the families involved to get used to the idea, as they may be afraid they are "losing" either of you to the other ways, rather than understand you can each enjoy and share both cultures equally.
