A thread to share with one another this:

What you listening right now or today ... your fav. song, singer, band?
Even you can dedicate a song or another to your friends here or there ... everywhere indeed.

Let me start it by greeting the coming back of GT dedicating to her this song: "Kiss from a Rose" by Seal

:)

I like to go for a long walk at least 3 times a week. My phone player has Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Mike Oldfield, Jean Michel Jarre', Mike Oldfield, Cream, Nickleback, Meatloaf, The Cranberries, Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, Tom Petty and so on.

Current 1st choice, Brothers in Arms, Dire Staits.

German national anthem? Oh Tony.

I've seen the Red Army Choir live, twice. I'd go again every time.

I can't find a good youtube showing this special lady. Miriam Makeba, doing The Click Song so hope you like this sound, all those clicks are Xhosa mouth music. I dedicate her to all of you because she was a SA civil rights activist who stood up for what she believed in.

DSW my master, if you didn't like it, what about "South Shall Rise Again" by Johnny Rebel?

Sweet GT and ma lovely bro ... thanks :)

I'm listening to Single Ladies <---- Beyonce ... well, makes me wanna dance ;)

It's lyrics:
All the single ladies (7x)

Now put your hands up
Up in the club, we just broke up
I’m doing my own little thing
you Decided to dip but now you wanna trip
Cuz another brother noticed me
I’m up on him, he up on me
dont pay him any attention
cuz i cried my tears, GAVE three good years
Ya can’t be mad at me

[Chorus]
Cuz if you liked it then you should have put a ring on it
If you liked it then you shoulda put a ring on it
Don’t be mad once you see that he want it
If you liked it then you shoulda put a ring on it

I got gloss on my lips, a man on my hips
hold me tighter than my Dereon jeans
acting up, drink in my cup
I couldnt care less what you think
I need no permission, did I mention
Dont pay him any attention
Cuz you had your turn
But now you gonna learn
What it really feels like to miss me

Don’t treat me to the things of this world
I’m not that kind of girl
Your love is what I prefer, what I deserve
Is a man that makes me, then takes me
And delivers me to a destiny, to infinity and beyond
Pull me into your arms
Say I’m the one you WANT
If you don’t, you’ll be alone
And like a ghost I’ll be gone

:)

music of Central Asian Turks, i'm now listening to it.

DSW seems we belong to the same front for the first time, rock rules (:

I like ethnic/folk metal/rock music more. Recommend German band "Van Langen" and "In Extremo" to all.

With this title it should be for Tony, but I dedicate it to all young people and to all who were once a "wild child "and are now respected elders - like the artist :D :D

a thousand salutes from a Young Turk, and a wild child, of course m'lady! (:

for your kind gesture gumtree, i dedicate this song to you, a rare version of it:
http://tinyurl.com/5spgno8

here you'll find the video.

today is the day on which my mum's family was sent into exile from circassia. and this song is performed by Karaçay Turks, Turks of Circassia, dedicated to Mingi Tav(Eternal Mountain), aka Mount Elbrus. Circassians of exile still mourn for they lost the divine scene of that mountain. My mum has never seen the Mingi Tav but i was grown up by listening my mum's tales about it. i was listening to it when i saw your post (:

it's in Karaçay dialect of Turkish, and i translated it, i hope you'll like
(meaning: like it!)

Ballad of The Eternal Mountain

Thou art so great even can pierce the sky
Among mountains of the Circassia
Shining as if made of glass
With all your splendour above glaciers...

The white mantle you wear
Always no matter it's summer or winter
You like to turn a fine day into a nightmare
By sending your storms upon us

Even the day is fair and bright
There's always tempest on your peak
Your eternal glaciers
Does not melt in any season:summer or winter

Oh thou! Who gathers all the snow of the world
Your breath never loses its strength
And thou! Who is surrounded and beheld in awe
By those who dwell mountains

Is there any mountain on this earth
So rich with beauty it holds
And is there any mountain which gives birth to winter on its peak, spring on its plateaus
And summer on its braes
