We visited the whales off Western Australia a couple of months ago, "She who must be obeted' was so sick she weas lying on the deck with her head over the marlin board vomiting more than she'd eaten. How great is my love? I didn't take photos!

Thank you everyone for greetings, its good to be back, but I did fall in love with London all over again and found it hard to leave.

Spent ten years of my life there in the swinging sixties and could indulge in nostalgia for my youthful innocent self full of hope and enthusiasm and wonder what turned me into this cynical old bird!!

I had forgotten how good it is to be surrounded by history in both town and country and also see a genuine green in the countryside. Stayed in a pub over 500 years old, still functioning but with the beams in the taproom so low some are padded with leather to stop people banging their heads, as everyone was so much shorter when it was first built.

I'd be interested in knowing more about London from an insider's point of view. I've only been there once on a day trip from Paris for 8 hours. I had this Irishman, a double-decker bus driver, who showed me around a bit. I saw mostly the area near the Waterloo train station and a weird part of Hyde Park where men in white sleeveless t-shirts and people preaching weird gospel stuff were hanging out.

I have a feeling I didn't see the creme de la creme of London.

Dear Anajo, it's also so good to have you back, and all good wishes for really complete recovery.

Delighted to tell you more about London, one of my favourite places (Paris and Venice the others but only short times in those two). How many hours have you got??

Give me some pointers, and I'll also think about it and tell you what I found that had changed, generally for the better! It's 6.48am here so I'm not at my best, not enough coffee in the system yet, but will gladly write more later or even pm. Hope you get back to Europe some time.
