Well, no, it is obvious that the point of living is not death. I was just looking for some clarification because you do not believe in an afterlife. This is why I suggested love, pleasure, other people, and so forth.

"Can Someone Who Committed Suicide be Buried in a Catholic Cemetery?

Yes. It is recognized that those who die from the act of suicide deserve understanding and compassion. The deceased may have been suffering from a serious psychological instability, or overwhelming fear and confusion. Therefore, the church offers funeral and burial rites for those who may have died as a result of suicide. The American edition of the Catholic ritual includes prayers for this specific situation. These prayers evoke forgiveness for the departed and consolation to their family."
Woud it be too cynical to wonder if money has a part here?

The Catholic Church becomes more and more practical as the years pass. Galileo was one of their earliest lessons that denying reality is not advisable.

Indeed. Now, condom got through too. Galileo must have finally convinced the heavens.

Could you clarify that statement?

Do you mean to say that the Church allows contraception?

Hi Tom. Good morning from here. Don't know much at this point, just the news says that primarily for AIDS prevention but frankly here, the pope has finally descended to being a big brother than a holy one. Good thing.

Good morning, arrow! Good evening, here! :D

His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI has remained faithful to Paul VI's famous encyclical, Humanae Vitae. Did you hear that on TV or on the internet, or what?

(By the way, condoms don't prevent AIDS.)

Well there you go, now everyone can argue about what the Pope really meant as opposed to what he actually said :D :D
