I admire people who question traditional precepts and beliefs. It signifies that they see beyond the mundane and opt to reason out, at least with themselves. They border on being intelligent and profound. Their own kind of rebellion denies lip service idealism. Their well- reasoned skepticism is faced with angst of stupidity by those who only know envy as motive in their speech . I have become a skeptic to a certain extent because life has taught me lessons tougher than before. I realized that skepticism is the perfect and logical consequence, not of surrender and weakness but of acceptance and fortitude in dealing with life's circumstances.
This is my latest update and coming here to refresh.

Can you tell us how this applies to you? In what arenas of your life?

Tom, i may not be fully able to convince you about this sentiment just as faith in God is hard to explain to non believer but let me just tell you that you will never know and understand what i am saying until you look deeper into and beyond the white robes. DSW is right. It's just such huge hypocrisy out there.

I see.
I am a member of this Church. In fact, I have applied for the seminary; God-willing, I will be a ordained a priest in 2019. I will be a man in the white robe.
Truly, I am deeply sorry for the grief and anger this has caused you, Arrow and DSW; and especially to those who are most effected by these tragedies. It is unacceptable.

My best wishes to you Tom. I dreamed to be some sort of it when i was around your age. I felt i had the calling because i thought differently and had so much faith/optimism in things and people. I had the ability to expound on things and faith itself but all of this has slowly disappeared when reality set in. Yet, i will always be grateful for the wisdom of my youth because it still forms part of what i am today. My faith in God will always be a personal one as it was an intimate encounter then and still is until now. I equally admire the likes of you and that of DSW.

Then there is yet hope.

Thank you, Arrow, that was kind.
And DSW, I think there is still some hope with you too.

If that would please you, I surely will.
When considering several experiences that I have been having for the past few months, I can hardly grasp what the future will hold. There have been amazing things happening in my life, and times when I can hardly contain my joy. (And times when I can't, I am reduced to tears.)
There is no one or no thing else that I can attribute this to. The dots connects too perfectly. As arrow mentioned, it is, indeed, near-impossible to explain this to unbelievers; I only hope that my testimony might plant a 'mustard seed'. The rest is left up to the ears of whom my words fall upon.

"Forgive me father for I have sinned."
"Hang on, I'm just out for a ciggy." ?

I think they teach cigarette etiquette in the seminary.
