Does every problem have a solution?

I don't think so... i think some problems just blow over after time, without solutions...
Whether letting them blow over is the solution?

I think, yes. The problems are, can one find the solution? Can one apply the solution? Is one willing to accept the solution?

Nothing is permanent. So i guess there is an answer to every problem.

Sometimes there are several possible solutions - then the problem is finding the best one to choose.

I also agree with Jen, sometimes just doing nothing lets the problem resolve itself, circumstances change without our input.

Time is, indeed, a solution, if you're patient enough.

In the case that everyone agrees, pretty cool, right? For me, that makes the world all the more manageable. Think of a problem. It has a solution. This is ideal and naive, but it's a start right?

In the case that war and poverty do not have solutions, can we consider them to be something entirely different than problems?

The problem is not the problem but how you deal with the problem makes it the problem. But for now its a situation and based on how much discretion and light you have in this area, then this will determine the resultant. Questions came about by inquisition from a mind that is not omniscient...

War and poverty are multiple and diverse problems and do have solutions, but this is where DSW's comment comes in:




Unfortunately human nature itself is the biggest problem associated with both, in particular the greed and power factors. All the effort poured into ending one war or alleviating some particular area of poverty has to be repeated ad infinitum as new wars and more poverty arrive. Even the most dedicated and well meaning can never "catch up".

my first thought would be no.

however, after thinking about it. i think that it is. not necessarily one that you would like, one you would use, one that would have fit the problem; but a solution, yes.

if dandelions keep coming up in your yard you could blow up your yard. its a solution, just not a rational one.

Often, people will deny the problem, even though it's there, before they try to find a solution.
