Don't decide to get a tattoo before you decide what it is of. You'll end up with something lame or cheezy. But if you do decide to get something...
I really like elliot smith. His words:
"You only live a day,
but it's brilliant anyway"
are pretty much as meaningful as can be to me!!

For he that is greedy and boastful of his knowledge is foolish but he that is charitable and humble with his knowledge is wise...

Hi,
This one i like most....
"The basic rule of human nature is that powerful people speak slowly and subservient people quickly -- because if they don't speak fast nobody will listen to them."

The things that one most wants to do are the things that are probably most worth doing. -Winifred Holtby
"It doesn't matter how long you live, but how you live, and what you leave behind." Ziggy from the movie "Light It Up"
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts." -'winston churchill
It's not the years in your life but the life in your years
To acquire knowledge, one must study; but to acquire wisdom, one must observe.-Marilyn vos Savant
Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.- T. S. Elliot
I live for the things that made time stand on end. Events that made a minute seem like an hour and an hour seem like a week.
"Knowledge speaks, but wisdom listens."
- Jimi Hendrix

Only one quote in here that address the most of your request.. the one submitted by Phaedrus.
"One ought, every day at least, to hear a little song, read a good poem, see a fine picture, and if it were possible, to speak a few reasonable words. ~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe"
Though it does not address love.
If you're getting a tattoo, you might want to make a few wise words of your own, that sure would mean a lot more, and be a lot more easy to find, then to search for them scribbled down somewhere, like they'd be waiting for you to find them... that way it would also be something you personally could relate to (:
