Love all, trust a few. Do wrong to none.

William Shakespeare, "All's Well That Ends Well", Act 1 Scene 1
Greatest English dramatist & poet (1564 - 1616)

Can somebody please explain me the deep essence in this quote?

I really love this quote and want to verify that I have understood it correctly.

It's pretty self-explanatory: love everyone, trust only a few people, like close friends, with your deepest thoughts or information, but do no harm to anyone.

It's what I thought as well and that's exactly what I thought was the essence in the quote. But have you read the whole act where it's from?
