"Mind in Darkness"
Lost is his sense of time.
Perfect is the darkness around him.
He is in the deep end of it.
Direction no longer matters.
For all he knows,
he is lying on the ceiling.
They say a mind breaks in darkness, but
his is just the contrary.
He has never felt more alive, more complete.
It surprised him at first,
by how little he began to care about things.
All he had were his thoughts and
that's all he needed.
So he believed......
Soon his thoughts began to attack him.
They toyed with his emotions.
They even forced him against himself.
Shame; the marks on his head were not enough.
Shame; they didn't stop the thoughts.
Shame; the rock he used was the closest thing he had-
closest thing he had to sanity.....
