Lots of people like to talk about what thier favorite classics are, or the best classics, and come up with book lists. So I thought I would do something a little different.

What are favortie contempary/modern novles?

How contemporary? since the 80s maybe? My favorite novel is "The Name of The Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss. I don't really read a lot of novels, but I'm pretty big into memoirs. I really loved "Jarhead", "Angela's Ashes", and "Into The Wild".

Pretty much anything that is not considered classical, and from the modern era, hard to put an exzact date upon it, but new enough that it would not called a classic
