I'm apart of a theater group looking to put on a newer, more modern play. We've done a lot of classics and we want to hit the audience with something they've never seen before. I was wondering if you had any good suggestions.

Well I am not sure how modern you want. But I love No Exit which was originally produced in 1944

Acutally I liked everything I have read by Jean-Paul Sartre

Again, perhaps not as modern as you want, but what about Under Milk Wood by Dylan Thomas?

A few good lead parts and many great smaller character parts.

I recently read this book "The Tenth Circle" by Jodi Picoult. Its a story about a rape and a suicide and father-daughter bond (all those things seperatly). It's pretty juicy, I finished it in a sitting.

Anywho, I saw that they're making it into a lifetime movie so I'm sure it'd be possible for you to work it into a play. Okay, maybe it sounds like a lot but this book is really really good.

That was such a good book, I didn't know they were making a movie out of it... has it aired yet? I don't wanna miss that.

Noooo You didnt miss it yet.. its on tomorrow at 9 on lifetime... I already set my tivo for it because i have to go to my nieces graduation party during that time

oh i randomly saw that movie on lifetime as i was channel surfing last night and remembered you guys had mentioned it. it was really great - but now i've got to read the book.
