Like the glittering of the crystal sea as the morning light dances on its pure face
Like the magnificent silken gown into which the night stars are set
Like the cool blanket of the daylight sky that warms the sun in her high perch
Like the sounds of a smooth roll of soft saxophone with an easy trumpet undertone
Like the touch of the soft petals of a spring tulip
Like the glowing of a brilliant sapphire stone set into the sparkling gold of a ring
Like her eyes, those beautiful wells of my existence from which my very life-essence is drawn;
Those eyes which are the center of my universe, those immaculate pools so pure
The origin of my life’s entire joys; for them, all suffering I endure
These perfect little gems I love for their enrapturing allure
Like the perfect, happy eyes they are, with their perfectly shining azure
