I finally got around to checking out your collection of Wilde quotes.
I bristle just a tad whenever I see a Wilde quote without a source, and I was disappointed to see this list of 52 quotes, all simply saying "~Oscar Wilde."
All except one, quote # 51. And # 52, "as he sipped champagne on his deathbed," stated as if it were fact.
Come on. That is all over the Internet that way.
I admire Mr. Wilde as being one of the most brilliant, and tragic, men of modern times. Absolutely 100% of anything attributed to him has a source, and virtually everything he ever wrote can be found on the Internet.
When I cannot find a source for a Wilde quote, I consider it bunk.
The first one was fairly easy to find:
A little sincerity is a dangerous thing, and a great deal of it is absolutely fatal.
~The Critic as Artist
If I had lots of time, I'd go through the whole list.
Another one got my attention.
"
America is the only country that went from barbarism to decadence without civilization in between."
Any help finding a source for that one would be appreciated. It can also be found as:
America may be unique in being a country which has leapt from barbarism to decadence without touching civilization.
~John O'Hara
And the last one. I've never been able to determine who supposedly heard these last words attributed to Wilde. But I'm going with:
"I suppose that I shall have to die beyond my means."
~Wilde, Oscar (1854 - 1900)
Irish-born British dramatist. When told that an operation would be expensive. He is also
believed to have said `I am dying beyond my means' on accepting a glass of champagne as he lay on his deathbed.

In Jonathan Green's book,
Famous Last Words (1997),
Wilde supposedly said (noting the turn of the century):
"It could be more than the English could stand if another century began and I were still alive. I am dying as I have lived...beyond my means."
Aside from all that, I was pleased to see that you had so many of Wilde's quotes. Nicely done.
Tread lightly, she is near
Under the snow,
Speak gently, she can hear
The daisies grow.
All her bright golden hair
Tarnished with dust,
She that was young and fair
Fallen to dust.
~ Oscar Wilde "Requiescat"
