Barbarians At The Gate: The Rise and Fall of RJR Nabisco.
One of the best books I've read in forever. Strongly recommended.

I think for now I've decided not read a new book until I decide to read.

I seem to have lost my username. [sniff sniff]
Unless I typed it wrong several times - very likely, it being a holiday.
Anyway...

Pepys...The Unequaled Self, by Claire Tomalin. A bio of the 17th century English diarist. It is very interesting.

Hi Jen-who-was-Fanatic and anyone else who reads Robin Hobbs
Have you read all three of the Farseer books yet, and did you enjoy them? I have just started Assassin's Apprentice.
I read the Liveship Traders trilogy by Robin Hobbs before, they were really good with an unusual and different concept. I certainly recommend them if you are a fantasy addict, but they are all very long.

Didn't she license her name to another author or a publishing company?

Imperium by Robert Harris.
First of a trilogy about Cicero. Modern day manipulative and corrupt politics has nothing on the Romans! Excellent writing, interesting and amusing.

Haven't had time for a lot of reading but just finished a big coffee table type book called Four Gothic Kings which I borrowed from the local library. It was excellent. Those kings literally held a life in their hands in those days.
