I'm not really a comic book fan, but the only two comic books that I have read are amazing. Those are "Watchmen" written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Dave Gibbons, and "V For Vendetta" written by Alan Moore and illustrated by David Lloyd. Those two are fantastic.
Watchmen is back on again for a film. They lost funding and now they've aquired more money.
I love Moore. Interestingly enough, he has no interest in seeing the films of his many adapted graphic novels. He just wants the money and could care less to what filmmakers do with it.
You should give
League a try. If you've seen the film, don't let it put you off. It's complex enough for books to be published discussing the Victorian history he includes in his writing, no matter how obscure the reference. I've already ordered the third,
The Black Dossier. I'm very much looking forward to it.
