It's Fray by Joss Whedon (author), Karl Moline (artist) and Andy Owens (artist). If you liked Buffy the Vampire slayer, this is a futuristic telling of a new slayer. I LOVE it because it was one of the first comic books I read as an adult.

Comics are SO much better now!

I was a big comic book buff when I was young! My favorite books came out of Marvel. X-men, Wolverine, ect...
But, when Image released there first publications I fell in love. Im not sure if thats because of much darker stories or if its the amazing artwork of Todd McFarland. That guy is genius!

Image publishes the Luna Brothers' work. I adore Ultra and Girls. I'm sorry to see Girls come to an end, but very much looking forward to Ultra picking up again.

I grew up reading DC and Marvel Comics.

For my adolescent literature class, I had to do a unit using a comic book (the PC term in education for comic book is graphic novel) and a classic. I chose "Spider Girl" as my graphic novel and "The Color Purple" (my all-time favorite book) as my classic. I enjoyed working on the unit, and I plan to incorporate graphic novels in my lessons when I teach.

I'm not really a comic book fan, but the only two comic books that I have read are amazing. Those are "Watchmen" written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Dave Gibbons, and "V For Vendetta" written by Alan Moore and illustrated by David Lloyd. Those two are fantastic.

V for Vendetta is great and Megatokyo but other than that I don't read comics.

Watchmen is back on again for a film. They lost funding and now they've aquired more money.

I love Moore. Interestingly enough, he has no interest in seeing the films of his many adapted graphic novels. He just wants the money and could care less to what filmmakers do with it.

You should give League a try. If you've seen the film, don't let it put you off. It's complex enough for books to be published discussing the Victorian history he includes in his writing, no matter how obscure the reference. I've already ordered the third, The Black Dossier. I'm very much looking forward to it.
