hey all. it sure has been a long time since i posted on this forum. college just kind of happens sometimes, you know? anyway, i've been super-into poetry lately, which is funny. i've never liked poetry, and never bothered with writing it. but, ultimately, it's been a very emotional semester, and what better way to channel emotion than through poetry? so i just wanted to share some with you guys. since i'm not the biggest poetry writer, any advice would be apprecciated. thanks!
this one is dedicated to ali, a friend of mine who passed away in november.
i once heard someone say -
that one person's death
can bring another's salvation,
and i just wanted to thank you
for it being yours
that brought mine.
i hope it is nice up there -
where there is infinite light.
it is where you belong,
because you (apparently)
lit up the night
that you loved so much...
that was bullshit.
the truth is
that you are the lighthouse
that led me to safety
through the darkness.
so i hope it is nice up there.
because it is not down here.
it is almost as if
i am down there.
because -
because that's where i've been
for many years now.
because that's where i am
when i cannot thank you
for bailing me out of there.
because that is all i want.
to thank you.
all i can do is thank you
and i cannot say that enough.
thank you.
-j

Kujo! You are a great poet. I like your poems. What I have to command to you is that you should always remember that a chop at a time can digs off the Moodo (Yam) and the boy can run home smiley with his Moodo at his poach. So one day in your life you will always be smiling with your poetic at your poach.

here's another one guys. hope you like it!
Transfer of Energy
I sit with you while our fingers entwine.
My hand is wrapped in yours, and yours in mine,
And then our legs will touch, and then our feet
Until we get so close that our tongues meet.
But for now only our fingers think to touch–
Victims to our long desire to clutch
The other, and you speak of how mine feel,
The cold that I can no longer conceal.
But you are filled with an unending heat,
A warmth to which I find I can retreat
When coldness from the past and from the present
Manifests itself in my frozen hands.
You speak of a transfer of energy, and how strange you think it is
That heat can move from something that has a lot of it
To something that does not.
You like poetry,
But those old-school ones would never convince you.
Those works that speak of flower buds, and
Pebbles on the beach, and
Carnivorous worms.
It is heat that speaks to you–
How I only have space to fill,
How a transfer of energy ensues
From you to me,
Until we are both engulfed in the flames.

-----------my post --colege ?--in this page was from May 26--as is noted
------I did not intend to start another Dead Poets Society -----however --
you budding --------writers ----first you need to study the author
of these lines-------
"poems are made by fools like me,--
----- but only GOD can make a Tree."
