Just today i spent about 4 hours browsing.

I really think the site should have more Heinlein quotes in it. I got a notebook and a half of them, so i would be happy to help.

Keep up the good work, the site is gorgous.

Julie.

And I started a custom that has stood me in good stead for a long lifetime: I smiled up at him and said, Thank you, Charles. You were splendid.
~~Robert A. Heinlein, Maureen Johnson in To Sail Beyond the Sunset.

The basis of all morality is duty, a concept with the same relation to a group that self-interest has to individual. Nobody preached duty to these kids in a way they could understand -- that is, with a spanking. But the society they were in told them endlessly about their 'rights.' The results should have been predictable, since a human has no natural rights of any nature.

Mr. Dubois had paused. Somebody took the bait. Sir? How about 'life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness'?
~~Robert A. Heinlein, Mr. Dubois in Starship Troopers .

Men rarely (if ever) manage to dream up a god superior to themselves. Most gods have the manners and morals of a spoiled child.
~~Robert A. Heinlein, Lazarus Long in Time Enough for Love.

“Love” is the condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own.
~~Robert A. Heinlein, Jubal Harshaw in Stranger in a Strange Land.

I get lots of comments saying there really should be more quotes from X, and my answer is always the same - give me some! If you've got a favorite quotable person, you're probably the ideal person to contribute quotes from them.

If you want to post your Heinlein quotes here, that's fine, or use the contribute page. Either way I'll get them all online.

Thanks as always for your comments!
