Yay! I just moved this entire site to a new server. I've been working on this for a couple of weeks, but today was the big transition.
The old server was running pretty close to capacity and crashing about once a day, as some of you may have noticed. The new one should be much better.
If anyone's curious, hardware-wise, we've gone from a 1GHz Athlon with 512 MB of RAM to a 2GHz Pentium IV with 1 GB of RAM. I also upgraded to MySQL 4 and a much more recent version of Apache.
I hope everything works better on the new server. This was the smoothest server move I've ever pulled off (knock on wood) - there was 1-3 hours of downtime for the forum, depending on when your DNS server updated, but all other pages had zero downtime.
I always forget something when I make major changes like this, and there are a million little things that can go wrong, so please let me know (here or in email) if any part of the site isn't working as well as you are used to experiencing.
I have a few more days' work to do getting things running smoothly and moving other sites. After that I'll have time to actually visit this forum, and I'll also be adding some cool new features to the site, starting with a much better search feature.
As always, thanks to our frequent visitors and forum regulars for keeping this site going!

Speaking of things that can go wrong, we had some downtime Friday morning due to a configuration mess-up. Mea culpa.
Thanks for your comments, Mariantionette.
