Yes, it is another poetry game, but this one is a little different, and it works in the way of those guess song by lyrics games. In which one person will post a a few lines of a poem, it can be either classical or contemporary as long as it is a known published author to give people a chance to know it, and the next person tries to guess what the poem is and then posts a few lines for the next poem to guess.
So I will start us off, guess this poem
I'd rather be
A Pagan suckled in a creed outworn;
So might I, standing on this pleasant lea,
Have glimpses that would make me less forlorn;
Have sight of Proteus rising from the sea;
Or hear old Triton blow his wreathed horn.

William Wordsworth. one of the untitled sonnets.
Okay, next one.....
April had covered the hills
With flickering yellows and reds,
The sparkle and coolness of snow
Was blown from the mountain beds.
Across a deep-sunken stream
The pink of blossoming trees,
And from windless appleblooms
The humming of many bees.

I was angry with my friend;
I told my wrath, my wrath did end
I was angry with my foe;
I told it not, my wrath did grow
And I watered it with fears
Night and morning with my tears
And I sunned it with smiles
And soft decietful wiles
And it grew both day and night
Til it bore an apple bright
And my foe beheld it shine
And he knew that it was mine
Into the garden stole
When the night had veiled the pole
In morning glad I see
My foe outstreched beneath the tree

Have you given up on this one yet?

Amy Lowell, Azure and Gold
ok next one
She looked on, and her looks went everywhere.
Sir, 'twas all one! My favour at her breast,
The dropping of the daylight in the West,
The bough of cherries some officious fool
Broke in the orchard for her, the white mule
She rode with round the terrace---all and each
Would draw from her alike the approving speech,
Or blush, at least. She thanked men,---good! but thanked
Somehow---I know not how---as if she ranked
My gift of a nine-hundred-years-old name
With anybody's gift. Who'd stoop to blame
This sort of trifling?

Easy!
Robert Browning, My Last Duchess
we read that in High school english class senoir year. my turn
"But at spring mending-time we find them there.
I let my neighbour know beyond the hill;
And on a day we meet to walk the line
And set the wall between us once again.
We keep the wall between us as we go."
this one should be easy....

I think it is from Robert Frost's "Mending Wall"

I was surprsied to see someone dug up this old thread. It was a while ago when I posted it.
But you are right, I looked it up.
So for the heck of it, I will post the next set of verses and see if this gets going again.
Upon the middle of the night
waking she heard the night-fowl crow;
the c--- sung out an hour ere light;
from the dark fen the oxen's low
came to her; without hope of change
in sleep she seem'd to walk forlorn
till cold winds worke the gray-eyed morn
about the lonely moated grange.
*c--- was ment to be another common word used for a Rooster, that can also be construed as a profanity so the forum censoered it when I posted.

The Moated Grange by Alfred, Lord Tennyson
Took me back to school and the very gloomy poems we seemed to have.
I think you'll find this easy:
And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow,
Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings;
There midnight's all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow,
And evening full of the linnet's wings.

You get points for Tennyson, but the poem is called Mariana
I will ponder over your verses
