The Monkey and the Dolphin

A SAILOR, bound on a long voyage, took with him a Monkey to amuse
him while on shipboard. As he sailed off the coast of Greece, a
violent tempest arose in which the ship was wrecked and he, his
Monkey, and all the crew were obliged to swim for their lives. A
Dolphin saw the Monkey contending with the waves, and supposing
him to be a man (whom he is always said to befriend), came and
placed himself under him, to convey him on his back in safety to
the shore. When the Dolphin arrived with his burden in sight of
land not far from Athens, he asked the Monkey if he were an
Athenian. The latter replied that he was, and that he was
descended from one of the most noble families in that city. The
Dolphin then inquired if he knew the Piraeus (the famous harbor
of Athens). Supposing that a man was meant, the Monkey answered
that he knew him very well and that he was an intimate friend.
The Dolphin, indignant at these falsehoods, dipped the Monkey
under the water and drowned him.

Those who pretend to be what they are not, sooner or later, find themselves in deep water

I don't want to change my email address so I will probably put a block on him from sending me any more email. I will try to figure out how to do that.

The owner banned most of the people on the forum that were liberal-minded, which included anybody with any common sense what so ever; all the people that I liked and enjoyed reading their posts. Now it is mostly extremely conservative "so-called christian" type left on the forum. That is no place for me to hang out! I would rather be in prison...I finally got pissed and requested the other day that he ban me as well. Now my account says "Not Active". LOL I have been emailing many of the people that he has banned. We think of it as a "badge of honor" that we were banned by him.

Anajo,

Thanks! I know at times people get bent out of shape with each other on this forum, but it is still a better place than most. There are many opportunities for self-expression (music, art, literature, quotations, photos, shooting the breeze, etc).

Sigsfried,

Yes, it is my gmail account.

I confused by the L.D.R. So please explain to me what that means.

I look forwarded to seeing you someday Ishrat. All of you in good time that is. That has become one of my adventures of life now. One thing i would like to accomplish. Even if I am 100 when I see the last person on my list.

My story: I go to the place called postpoems to post my poetry. Most of you know that. I was reading some guys work, and fell deeply in love with his poetry. His words reminded me so much of myself. His poems were rather frightening at the same time. Like he had writen my life from the other side of my dreams. Very Creepy!

I emailed him, and about a year latter he emailed me back. Saying that he was on a trip to India with his family and finally got to all his emails. We ended up becoming close friends really fast. I found out he was 26 years old. He had a lot of health problems, and so he felt that he lost a lot of his younger years. He always acted younger than he was for that reason. Like a curious little child. It makes my heart feel guilty to think of how crushed he must feel by me.

I talked to him for over a year, and half way through he found out I had a boyfriend. He all of a sudden became very protective, and asked why I hadn't told him. That I had lead him on, which was not what I had done. That he had feelings for me, and wanted me to meet him someday. I told him that it would be impossible. That to me he was as old as my father was when he died. I couldn't get that out of my head. He said that I couldn't do this to him, that he believed that I was the woman he always had invisioned when he wrote his poetry. It was all creepely inter-connected. Till this day it makes me wonder if he had stalked me or if by some wierd chance...everything he wrote was just by coincidence.
