The grounds at Camp Juniper will be open for camping, fishing and visitation on 3-21-03 (the vernal equinox) and 3-22-03. Friends, neighbors and forum users are welcome to attend. Tent camping is encouraged but motel rooms are available only ten miles from the gates. The closest luxury motel is 25 miles west.
There will be a shotgun competition and a .22 rifle competiton on the morning of Saturday, March 22. Prizes will be awarded for best shot and also for the fattest bass caught. Any bass weighing more than 12 pounds must be released back into the lake so I can catch it for myself at a later date.
Food will be served on the grounds by the lake at 1:30 p.m. There will be smoked meat, fire baked beans, layered salad and deviled eggs (no picnic is complete without deviled eggs). There will be red wine, white wine and chilled beer.
Yall come if ye get a hankering. A Buffalo Nickle Belt Buckle will be awarded as a prize for the .22 competiton.
