A REASON FOR READING
[WISDOM AGES]

EDGAR ALLAN Prieto3:02 PM (edited)Edit

A REASON FOR READING

THE BOOK

DO NOT GO TO THE COVER
UNLESS YOU KNOW
WHAT IS ON THE OTHER SIDE.

YOU MAY FIND YOURSELF READING

NEXT THING YOU KNOW
IT IS TELLING YOU A STORY.
WHO'S THAT OWL WHO KEEPS
WATCHING ME.

WISDOM I AM IN HERE TO READ.

YOU MAY BE enthralled
BY WHAT, IS IN IT ALL.

BE CAPTURED BY WORDS
UNTIL YOU READ ALL THE LINES.

BREAK FREE AT THE END
WHEN ALL THE WORDS ARE UN TWINED.

FINALLY I AM OUT, BOY WAS THIS A RIDE.

NEXT TIME I WILL USE MY SEAT BELT
BEFORE I GO TRAVELING. ABROAD.

I DO NOT WANT TO GET BUMPED OFF.
FROM THE ROAD I AM ON

I NEED TO READ THE END OF THE STORY
YOU KNOW

FOR WHERE WILL I GO,
IF I NEVER FINISH

FROM THE START,
TO THE END OF MY STORY.

FOR I HAVE NEVER JOURNEYED
THAT IS MY GLORY.

DEDICATED TO
THE LEARNING OF HUMANITY
FOR CHILDREN TO IMAGINE
THEY'RE TRAVELING THE WORLD
BY THOUGHTS THEY'RE SENDING
TO WHO KNOWS WHERE
IMAGINING PLACES THEY MAY,
NEVER SEE.
WONDERING HOW,
THEY WOULD EVER BE.

POEATREEMAN

REASON FOR READING
TO LEARN NEW WORDS
TO TRAVEL TO WORLDS
THEY ONLY HEARD

OUT HERE OR OUT THERE ?

[carl-sagan-quotes-about-life]

Uploaded on Sep 8, 2011

OUT HERE OR OUT THERE?

We look for life on other Planets

Forget the one here.

What are we looking for,
That we cannot find here?

Man's beginning!,
Must start in this World.

For if it does not
it will surely end.

It is not Outward but Inward,
We must look.

For if I were an Alien,
I would wonder who is Human.

This World I came to see,
Was wondrous and Inhuman.

For They War among Themselves,
How civilized can it be?

I would be better back,
In a World I knew.

Where I know we are different,
not from each one.

For we speak with intelligence,
Not a Gun!.

A THOUGHT!

I traveled a long way,
To find who I am

I went inward and found God.

Dedicated to Harland V. Rennolds
and Whoever is Out There

A Poeatreeman

My search will never end,
If I am looking Outward

I traveled to find Intelligence,
Yet never found my own

I was looking Outward,
When all was Here to know.

A Poet's Note
EARTH BOUND
If You Understand The End

You Will Know Where To Begin

A Good Place is Start

To Bridge The Stars

A Further Place!

Is To Reach The Heart?

Inter Space!

I Heard There Are Humans

Traveling Through Earth

You Will Find A Home

Start Here!

To Understand The Outer Limits.

THE BEST TIMES

If I did not
go through
what I did

I would
have never
found
who I am

The
best part
is the worst

For
I kept faith
with Him

The
hard times
prepared me

For
what
was ahead

The
good times

Were
when
I picked
myself up

I
had
to fall
to know
the best

The
sweet times ,

Were
not always
what
I needed

The
best times
were

All
The
struggles
I had
defeated.

A THOUGHT!

No time
is worse,
for where
would I be?

I am
here
for the count,
not one, two, three

I'll take
what is there,
Make
the best of it all

KNOWING THE BEST, IS YET TO BE..

DEDICATED TO LIFE

A Poeatreeman

I am the hopes
of my dreams

I am the strengths
of my weakness

I am the success
of my failures

I am the best
of my
worst times

I am no one
without God

I am the beliefs
of my faith

I am here
to climb
the mountain

The tools
are all with me

I have faith
God allowed it
to be.

A POET'S NOTE

God will pick you up
when you least expect

Have faith
through
the hardest test

It will not be failure
or success

It will be
your faith's test.

ONE MAN

I am a man of many ages

Love started with one

I am a man of many times

Each time I see the ages

I am a man of many dreams

I hope to see the world at peace

I am a man of many feelings

I feel the pain of all its beings

I am a man of many tears

They come to show me I am here

I am a man of many sorrows

I carry all the hopes that died

I am a man with one heart

The world has it all

I am a man of one faith

I see it all in God...

A Poeatreeman

One man with a heart

has saved the world

One Faith can save it all.

A SMALL PART

A small part of the larger

Man must realize

He is only one part
of the heavenly body.

A star of great significance.

If he reaches beyond himself.

How important am I?
Does not really matter.

I am here to be a star,
Shining through the heaven's

I cannot be there,
If I destroy the one I am on.

How important am I
when all is gone?

A THOUGHT!

Don't shoot your toe,
If you have to walk ahead.

Better still
don't injure yourself.

It will hurt you and also me.

IN MEMORY OF CHARLES PETE CONRAD
DEDICATED TO
Mankind and the Astronauts
For They have seen the Heaven's

A Poeatreeman

This world has room
for good and bad

So let us count the good

For only bad will come
If we forget the good.

IF I DID IT WRONG

THE SHADE OF TWO FRIENDS
Sunday, 29 June 2008

[TWO FRIENDS]

Two Eyes

To See,

One Soul,

One Heart .

One Light

One Dark.

Two Loves

Can be,

No Shade Apart.

Two Friends,

Can See,

Each Others

Heart.

Not one is Light,

Nor is Dark.

A Friend

Who sees you,

As you are.

One Soul

Your Soul,

Light or Dark?

Two Friends

In a World,

Not a Shade Apart.

OUT OF TIME

[TIMELOST]

Tuesday, 24 June 2008
OUT OF TIME

I got running time
and stopping time
Who the Hell got it?.

I got time
On my hands
anytime I watch it.

I got starting time
and finishing time
Who the Hell's
Keeping it?.

I have time
To pass the hours
Each time
I think I got it.

I got wake up time
and sleepy time
Dreamed
I wished I had it.

I got time
To watch
The passing
It's the ending
I am left without.

Who's got time
For passing?
I started
Running out.

I wished
I had the end
To this
I'd run it all
The time.

I'd take
The time
That I could use.

I'd pass it all
On loving
To see me
Right on through.

A THOUGHT!

This is going
To be,
A slight of hands.

So watch
For the end,
No time to lose.

It's close
To the start,
The ends in sight
The time has passed,
and so have you.

Dedicated To Lou

A Poeatreeman

What a finish
I had at the end
What a start
I had with time.

What a way
To go again
Only if I had
The time.
