{{scoundrel}} wrote: "God works all things together for the good of those who love Him." Yes! It's true! My parents were on two different sides of a war, my father disappeared about two decades ago and I still am not knowing what happened to him, and I've had a somewhat interesting life, but all this has been working together to get me where I am today. God is definitely working everything out for good.
And the next question: What are nightmares?
First you say "God works all things together for the good of those who love him." Then you state, "God is definitely working everything out for good."
I would like to point out that this is slightly contradictory and one of the reasons I don't like religion. In the first quote you are stating that god only helps those that are true to him. Thus he does not like other races, cultures, traditions, or religions. Then you are saying god is working everything out to be good, that's everything. Then (from the other thread) it should be a great world with 'perfection'.
nightmares are dreams and thoughts that one does not understand.
Who is the green man?

To be honest, Ngeok Nean, I hate religion. My belief in God not is about religion, it's about a personal relationship with the Creator of the universe. Please not thinking I'm a deluded person who is viewing the world through warped glasses. I know God is great enough to strike terror into the heart of anyone who truly knows who and what He is, but it's completely awesome - in every sense of the word - to be able to come to Him and know He never will reject me no matter what.
Oh, and the green man is an alien from outer space who will petrify you with his maniac grin!
What should the next question be?
To claim that "He will never reject you no matter what " is a moral/spiritual disaster, waiting to happen.

That's abit surprising. It seemed for the post that you were quite religions. Either way, the best part of religion is, like you've said, the belief; not the fact. I suppose, we should conclude that it was confusingly written and that you have some other religious thinking.
I was under the impression that the green man was Jen, but that was from something else
Freeman, I think that's abit pessimistic. the optimisim is far more faithful and it depends on perspective.
Next question: Why is it so?

The 'Green Man' is a charcter from English paganism. Among other things thought to be one possible source for the Robin Hood legend.

And truth depends not on perspective. Truth is the truth, no matter how one looks at it. I'm sorry, but I'm out of time. Someone else can answer the previous question and come up with the next one. I'll be posting more thoughts tomorrow.
When he spoke with you, was it through a church veil or out in the open field? Truth is perspective in the manner that not all truths are true to each other.
Mr Green is far to jolly to be jealousy.
