I've been wanting to ask this. Since we've learned to somehow appreciate one another here over time, what would be the the likely presumption/case when one of the regulars stops posting and seem to have permanently left the forums.. from issue of serious ailment, work related matters, or even death, but would u still care to say goodbye here when u face an imminent death? tnx

It depends....an immenent death as in my own, or one of a friend and I was taking a haitus? If it was my own, I'd probably say bye, but not the reason. It's an unnecessary burden on my friends to say, oh, btw, I'm dying. Tis a good question to ask though. If it was my friend's I'd probably pop on and say I was taking a haitus.

If someone dearly for us here really intending to depart for serious cause or we just lost his/her track for quite long time ... it would be real hurting.
Think its our duty to ask about one another ... we are now one community and not just like this ... its somehow "unique" we are internationally different and this difference attracts us all together on one ground ... never thought for example that I would be here for that long time .. I feel like I go here and there and back to my home and friends ... really you are.
I even feel its a my duty to post my last good bye if (God Forbids) something happened preventing me from continuing here.
I really feel attached here so ...
thank you arrow for bringing this issue here.

Ditto to what Libra said.

I think it would be a good idea, if that is I knew anyone cared to know, but like the afore I'm not sure if the cause would be in the best interest. If for example I was going to commit suicide, no. But if it was an hornorable death, probably.

I would say Goodbye. And probably the reason why. It'd be no different to talk to you guys about it, then it would for me to talk to the one or two close friends that I have.

I'm sure some of you are really warm, sociable people who say goodby to eveyone when you move, change employment, transfer colleges, ect, but saying goodby to fourm posters when your about to take the last train out is a little sad, don't you think?

I wouldn't tell you guys. I'd probably say I couldn't get on anymore. It just seems selfish to me, to burden you all like that -not that i'm one of the main people on here- and also, it seems more honorable to just humbly leave.

It would be selfish not to tell.
We're all here for the long haul (us regulars i huess we're called) due to a desire to learn and experience through our online forum based peers.
An experience such as death... it needs to be brought to our attention. We would have a lot to take from your experience, and I am sure a lot to give as said person went through quite possibly the most trying times of their lives.

I'd say buhbye. Nothing too corny or loaded with pathos. Just a solid wave and a bow to those over here that made my day on countless occasions (they know who they are, no need to make lists).
So there. If I'm croakin', you'll be among the first to know. Happy now?

So if Moshei, The Holy Dark or Cousin die, we'll never know.
The rest of us will all commiserate together and get all philosophical and stuff...
And yet, I doubt anyone will be kicking the bucket anytime soon.
