Try looking at the quotes of the day and Random quotes for a bit if nothing strikes you from them look at some by Author. Churchill is normally good for this.

I’m not sure exactly what this quote is to be about? People in society today? Try the topics index to find a subject related to what you want. Eg. Government, society, humanity, the present, technology. Some examples of what is out there;
In a few hundred years, when the history of our time will be written from a long-term perspective, it is likely that the most important event historians will see is not technology, not the Internet, not e-commerce. It is an unprecedented change in the human condition. For the first time - literally - substantial and rapidly growing numbers of people have choices. For the first time, they will have to manage themselves. And society is totally unprepared for it.
~Peter F. Drucker
I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority.
~E. B. White
It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity.
~Albert Einstein

You said a quote you wanted to be remembered by. Check out my signature.
And I like this one:
"Trust yourself. Think for yourself. Act for yourself. Speak for yourself. Be yourself. Imitation is suicide." *~Marva Collins~*
people in society too eh? like teenagers outlooks on life? I still like my signature.
LOL! I'm in a good mood right now.
I think we need more info Ivigil if you want help. Maybe more precisely what you're looking for. Have we helped at all yet?

Maybe you should ask the teacher so you know exactly what he/she wants.
Whether it's a a quote you make yourself or one you have to find that in your opinon reflects todays society.
If you want help I think we should know what exactly you want us to help you with otherwise it's quite a bit of guess work and interpretation. Don't cha think.
Am I being too harsh?
Hope not.
I think I'm in a bad mood. Sorry.

Where do you live only I'm sirprised you hadn't heard of him already. I know being British I have a slanted view of him but all Americans and Europeans I know seemed to have heard of him. If you hadn't realised he was the Prime Minister during WW2 and was later elected again. Though many of his views especially on womens rights were dispicable he was probably the only man that could have saved Britian, her Empire and the Commonwealth (as he normally refered to the fight against Germany)
