Just off the top of the head:
The Pope - amazing adorable man even though I don't abide by the doctrines
Agatha Christie - can't get enough of her books
Einstein for being so incredibly smart and adorable and openly regretting the Manhattan Project (I think "adorable" is part of what I like abouit people)
The person who invented Mounds candy
Nigel Hawthorne - British actor
Got any off the top of your head (or that you've thought seriously about)? I have more that may surface if this becomes a thread

I'm glad I was born.
And I'm thankful for all the teachers I've ever had. Which is pretty much everyone I've ever met, and lots of people I haven't met.

My martial arts teacher. He has tought me more about life and how to live than anyone I know.
Dale Jr. and Sr., without whom NASCAR would never have been the same.
And the guy that invented Twix. That guy rocks. And every man and woman who has ever served in the US armed forces, fighting and in some cases giving their lives for this great country. I am greatful for you above all.

Agreed. I've learned some of the most valuable lessons from my enemies. Mostly because they're not my enemies anymore.

I'm really glad I've gotten an opportunity to be here, but aside from that, I would have to say:
Emmerson and Thoreau
My lit teacher from this year, my mentor
Steinbeck *swoons*
Karl Marx
The writers of That 70's Show
and finally, the only person I care about, my boyfriend
and as much as I hate to say it, I agree with being thankful for enemies, for they teach us more than anyone else on this earth
