I'm saying that the word 'time' can refer to multiple concepts. One of them is that undefinable infinite that Jas was referring to, and another is the concept of that scale that we use to place events within that undefinable infinite and in relation to each other.

Does that explain anything or just make it worse?

Yes... nobody can stop time. And if even somebody or something could stop it, we would never know about it, you know... because if the time was stopped, we would be stopped too, our thinking wouldn't be able to work, so we could never notice that it is stopped ;)

Time is simply the measurement of an abstract idea called time. Put simply--time is a measurement of time. Time, the abstract idea, is a dimension that enables two identical events occurring at the same point in space to be distinguished, measured by the interval between the events. At least, that's what the dictionary says it is.

What are your thoughts on the new movie. I havn't seen it yet BUT from what I have seen (clips, trailers etc.) it looks good except I don't like the look of Marvin.

It seems as though the movie is going to live up to the book's comedy. The book itself left me rolling, and useually literature doesn't do that for me. The graphics appear to be stunning. But I fear that it will most likely fall the way of most book to movie renditions, and leave something lacking, which is unfourtunate.

I'm nto sure wether it will live up to the book but it doesn't have a chance of living up to the radio series. I'm certainly looking forward more to the broadcast of phase 4 than I am to the film.

I wish there was some way we in the US could get the radio program over the radio. I would love that. I guess it must be a big hit in the UK. I would love to get it here.

Oh sorry. I suppose you could order the first three phases from the beeb.
Phase 4 will be brodcast on Radio 4 6:30pm Tuesday BST. If you go to www.bbc.co.uk/radio4 and do listen live that would work or after the repeat broadcast (wednesday 11:00pm) it will be available on the listen again service. Just wish you'd help pay for the licsence fee.
