I find your site a disgrace. The following page :
http://www.quotationspage.com/subjects/America/
is filled with mostly negative quotes about the wonderful America. There is no other country like ours and you should support it rather that quote people that say "America is a mistake, a giant mistake." How unpatriotic can you be?

Sorry to burst your bubble but that is how a lot of people view America.

You don't mean you seriously believe all of that.

It claims the world was saved twice by America. Sorry but in WW2 the tide was turning against Germany when you entered the war. The combined force of the most fericous army (The Russians) and the best navy (The British) was enough to win the war the addition of the biggest navy and the troops America commited was good but not necessary. In truth in was Russia that beat Germany Britian and America merely speeded it up a bit.
Russia never had any expansionist policies so the second example was wrong aswell.
It also claims that America is the only country were immigrants have a fair chance. In Britian H.M. leader of the opposition had parents who were immigrants.
Oh and when was the last time European countries attacked students protesting about a war?
There is more but I can't be bothered.

It's not just a matter of belief it is a matter of facts. Saying it is a great article which contains little truth seems daft.

I also agree that it is the collaboration of all people who love peace, including some Japanese, Germany, and Italian, to whose country the WW2 are blaimed, that saves the world.

All countries have their bad points, and their good points! Don't trash talk countries that you know nothing about!
What's daft is judging America by mistakes made in the past. Sure we have our problems. But so does the whole world.
And the author of that article was...from another country, and that country was India. If someone from another country is writing good things about America, then the things that they are saying must be more true than you make them out to be.

What you say if true enough. I would have said that the fact they moved from India to America casts doubt on the article the other way. After all I would hope anyone going to a western country from the developing country would see an improvement.
Maybe I'm just biased becuase a group of people got very angry when I wouldn't swear the oath of aligance. Sorry but I wouldn't swear one to the UK so I certainly wouldn't swear one to the US. In fact I think it is sad that people are forced to say this making patrioism stronger something I don't see as good.

Feel free to continue this discussion, but since it no longer has to do with feedback for the site, I'm moving it to the Fluff forum.

I see what you mean, but they also are a democracy. Maybe not as much as we are, but still. If they say it's good, then it is.

I assume u r talking about India. Let me tell u, we have a lot of problems but then we dont simply follow our leaders; we question every one of their decisions (especially foreign policies) my country will never interfere in the internal working of another country; I have nothing against the american people, but pls i hate ur current government policies - u r not the world's policeman (anyway the world does not require a policeman...)
