Last year I posted a note that I was anticipating a ham & eggs Christmas holiday. This year I am anticipating a cheese & crackers holiday. Part of the reason is that I am fed-up with the commercialization of an otherwise religious holiday. All the adverstisments on television and radio serve to promote spending money and buying gifts. The SPEND & BUY attitude is stiffling the true spirit of Christmas. We have more than a month of harrasment by advertisers to SPEND, SPEND, SPEND! I have even wrapped used books to give as gifts to some of my family members. I have mailed only three Christmas cards and will buy only one gift for each of the three members of my immediate household. I have asked for nothing for Christmas. I anticipate taking a vacation during the days following Christmas.

Oh, that sounds wonderful! I really want to move back into an old house, but the house that we lived in before was too small.
This year I want to take care of myself and stay in shape-I also want to save my money and be more social.
