I'm a Chinese student. We have to write an essay for writting final exam.My topic is "Success depends on diligence but not
talent." It must be an analytical paragraph. I have truble in writting the

Consider a theory that states that academic success depends on diligence and hard work on the part of the student. The first step is to state this as a causal hypothesis. A hypothesis is a causal statement that links an independent and dependent variable.

my suggestions:

Just try to rise up some examples to analyse, every one have their own talent and skill, but not every one who have talent will become success. for instance, you are a Chinese, so you must know "Confucius", Confucius is the initiator of confucian, he is not really smart than others, or not really has strong talent than others, but with his diligence, finally he is not only the Confucian but also a Ideologist, Politician and Educationist. so obviously, if we want to success we have to diligent in our works.
