On preparing for what may happen after the last breath I cannot comment that depends on each person's own beliefs.

I believe that to prepare for your end of time on earth you try to make sure you leave no loose ends in the way of things unsaid. Such as forgiveness, apology, appreciation, love - to people you care about.

Other than that you don't prepare for death, you concentrate on life.

That is up for debate. I like your idea of the dream world with your girl, that is like the perfect paradise. I have found that my longings are also in my dreams that do not exists (yet) in physical form. I suppose that it could be viewed as, "what do you desire?" or, "What do you want to see in others."

There is no manual for life to me. The path I take is the path I've been making. There are forces that push and urge me on, but they do not always guide, and I can not always follow.

Is reality really reality when what we know is only what we are told?
