I have a report to do on "Endangered Aspects of Culture." This can be on any aspect of any culture, so I thought I'd do my paper on independent, non-chain stores or services (local bank, barber shop down the street, the grocery store everybody in the neighborhood shops at, etc.). As for the survey, I have to do some original research, and the easiest way to do that would be a poll/survey.

Note: you don't have to take the survey if you don't want to.

1. What grocery store do you visit most often?

2. Where do you buy most of your clothes?

3. What hardware store do you visit most?

4. How often do you go to each of the above stores?

5. How many independent (the owner doesn't have the same store set up anywhere else) stores within 1 mile of you are you aware of?

6. For numbers 1-3, are any of these stores large chain-stores or supermarkets?

7. Do you regularly visit ANY non-chain/supermarket stores?

8. Please give an approximate location.
