All of the above is true.

BUT - it's not that easy.

I am hungry and I am looking at a menu. There are lots of delicious foods, and good choices. But, they are all less satisfactory than the dish that would REALLY hit the spot. And, no matter how hard I try, I cannot find that one dish. And all other options, though sufficient, don't keep me satisfied.

That was my problem for most of Sunday, anyway, until my next door neighbor and I engaged in good dialogue. That was the item, not on the menu, that I was looking for.

My mood now: (Zen state of mind. )

Tommy, when did you last give yourself a genuine pleasure break ie play the piano or read a frivolous fun book? (I highly recommend "Small Gods" by Terry Pratchett. I reckon it would give you food for thought, but with a smile.)

It is very difficult, if not, impossible to exhibit the entire canvas called My Life into this forum. If you think I take life too seriously 24/7, that's the impression I've left you. And, then that just means you don't me that well. It's too bad - or at least, I think so - that some of us can't sit down one on one and talk about things in person. Anything. Humor, religion, music, memories, the self, philosophy, delight, lessons we've learned, etc. We would both get a clearer picture of the other. The personal encounter carries MUCH with it. Inflection in voice, body language, energy, chemistry, spiritual gravity, and so forth. One thing technology cannot replace: being there.

Current mood: tired, contemplative. Especially since the weather is warmer and I can finally sit on my porch at night when it is quiet and still.
