I don't remember exactly what the translation was, but loosely interpreted it's something like, 'we're all just people, and we all should be at peace'.
Ditto the stem cell thing, and I don't doubt I would rethink it if some nasty thing was to visit our family. That's the great joy of absolutes, they quickly evaporate in the face of need.
I had to shoot over to Perth recently, my miserable, humourless wife absolutely forbade me falling to my knee's on the aircraft and shouting 'Allah - Allahu Akbar'. Bloody taliban have ruined all my fun, just like all forms of extremism.

If I find a coffee shop run by a Catholic I'll tell him I've 'chatted' with his Holiness, should get me a free espresso!

HAHA! You guys are hilarious.
Gumtree thanks for the link, I will be watching with great enthusiasm and interest. Re: your argument, do you mean to suggest that value is economical -- supply and demand? The value of something depends on its numbers, and how much people want it?

If they don't, I'm OUT!!
Heh. Just kidding.
No. These guys, specifically, don't have shoes, much less cigarettes.
Maybe if it was a different place... seminary or order or otherwise, possibly. Lots of priests smoke. If not, that would suck but I got no qualm. I'm in it for the glory of God.
As atheists, how do you account for the "God experience"?

Ha, well, you know, God experience... like a miracle, or the feeling that someone gets when they're really into God, or an epiphany or something.

I can honestly say I've never met an atheist who is "really into God".
If one had an epiphany, would that not be an end to one's career as an atheist?
Miracle, unexplained phenomenon I rather think you may mean?
Do you know what a barmpot is?

No, no, no, not ATHEISTS who are really into God or who have had epiphanies. I mean, how would an atheist explain another person having a hardcore religious experience.
No, I do not know what barmpot is, but I am going to Google it!

Oh, by the way, a barmpot is similar to a numpty.
(Easiest way for you to find out, have you a mirror?)

I can't believe this, I miss a day or two and Tommy throws an oddball like this!! Here we are being genuinely happy for you having made a big decision based on strong principles, despite it being totally contrary to our personal feelings and you treat us like someone asking a vegetarian if they have fully appreciated the deep meaningful flavour of the raw steak sandwich you just gave them!!
"God experience" indeed!! Ditto all my Victorian friend has been dishing back I've just put such things down to complete hallucination brought on by loneliness, frustration, hysteria, magic mushies, acute allergic reaction, reaction to flagellation, a need for attention and just plain unbalanced personalities like total nutcases who see saints etc in their pizzas and cupcakes.
Young man, how could you insult our intelligence by asking such a question of professed atheists and expecting to get a rational answer to somethng that defies rationality???
Might write some more tomorrow when I've got over the shock

Vin Diesel in 'Pitch Black'
"Got it all wrong, holy man. I absolutely believe in God... And I absolutely hate the f---er."
