Just a note about the peace corps - with the current state of unemployment in America, the Peace corps is not even taking college graduates anymore. There are so many people from the baby-boomer generation currently applying for jobs (many of them with masters degrees or above) and much more life experience that they are choosing them preferentially over recent college grads. And non-grads are rarely even being considered for positions.
