The way one interprets/sees/perceives something doesn't change or create reality/what is true.

Truth is flexible, but your proposition does not alter facts.

How do you separate truth from facts?

Fact: Two molecules of hydrogen + one of oxygen is water.
Truth: The best thing to drink is water.

Is "the best thing to drink is water" a *truth* or an *opinion*?

Precisely, truth is variable, facts are not.

I think I disagree, because "truth" is not synonymous with "opinion".
Opinions can be wrong, and truth is truth - it stays as it is. Does it not?

Facts are what is presented as truth, Truth is what is.

Who's truth? Jesus is truth, but Mohammed is truth, but g-d is truth, not to mention Buddah. Is catholocism more true than the baptists? Pagans would hold a different truth to Mormons. Lawyers get paid to create truth on behalf of clients. Those who preach the 'one' truth are only really expressing an opinion.

If a guilty man is charged with his crime, but cannot be *proven* guilty, does that make him innocent?
If you look out at a tree and see the leaves, you would say it is green.
But if a colorblind man looks at a tree, he would say that it is gray... but isn't the tree still green?

For the colour blind man is it not true that the leaves are grey?
For you the truth is the leaves are green, but colour blindness has degrees, so the truth for me is it is likely a different shade.

I thought the statement was interesting the first time I heard it. It made it very clear to me that What Is Is and how we see things doesn't change What Is.
There is obviously scientific evidence as to why the perception of the colorblind man's opinion is wrong.

Not factual, but for him, true.

Hmm... not factual, but true. I'm not sure I can grasp that; how is that possible?
Can a fact be a lie, too?

A colourblind man swears to tell the truth, whole truth and nothing but.
He is asked "what colour car did you see?" he answers "Grey your Honour." "Ah" says the slimy lawyer, "but others have testified it was yellow." Which witnesses were telling the truth?
In fact, what colour was the car?
