hmm, try "The Life of PI", "The Kite Runner", "The Notebook", "Can you hear the Nightbird call?", "Wide SArgasso Sea - awesome read.. esp if you have read Bronte's "Jane Eyre"

I recently finished the "His Dark Materials Trilogy"(The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, and The Amber Spyglass) by Phillip Pullmanand was thoroughly entranced. If you enjoy good fantasy adventure I would highly recommend this series. And I always recommend "A Prayer for Owen Meany" by John Irving (not fantasy, more contemporary literature.)

Try reading so of Ray Bradbury's books, he's a great. Also the Chocolate War is good, I can't remember the name of the author.
