Recently deathes by city buses are rising and shocking a country. In the past public transport was made a public utility undertaking, which led to severe lack of fund.
Latest reform has turned public transportation into businesses that seek profit, which has turned out to be tragical:
to pursee profits, the company set regulations linking the number of passengers and the amount of saved gas to the 80% of the income of bus drivers. And if the bus driver uses more than the prescribed amount of gas, the company will subtract a portion of his income.
Consequently, bus drivers are driving much faster in the crowded city streets, to save gas and to transport more people, and as a result, killing more people.
What is your idea about public transport? How can we solve the dilemma?
