I think i wrote this for a school assignment.
“Time for Me to Hide”
As sad as it seems,
I’ll have to leave now,
Time for me to go away,
Time for me to hide.
You won’t be able to follow me,
Or to really even see,
Where it is that I have gone,
For that is up to me,
I will give you a few hints though,
And then it’s up to you,
For you can choose what to do,
For I won’t be around to stop you.
I have gone away, way up high,
Racing with the birds in the sky,
I have gone where I can see,
Only the movement of the wind in the trees
All I see around me is,
A rippling, moving sea of green,
Dragons fly all around me, twisting and turning,
As they swim through the ocean around me.
The breeze around me smells like chocolate,
A smooth, creamy, chocolate-y smell,
Running down my throat to my stomach,
Filling, satisfying.
This is all I can tell you now,
And all you are allowed to know,
If you can find me, you are welcome to come,
Yet I cannot tell you any more now, and you will see why.
As sad as it seems,
I’ll have to leave now,
It’s time for me to go away,
And time for me to hide.
and too keep you happy, here's another one. definately a highschool assignment
“Me”
You do not know me,
For who I really am,
You only see,
My writing in the sand.
That is not me,
That is not the truth,
You reap only the sea,
Not life’s tender juicy fruit.
You believe you see the hurricane,
Yet you only see the breeze,
You see me only as a name,
And not the child of the trees.
I have layers you may not know,
Yet others may see clearly,
Like the tides that ebb and flow,
Showing sandbars for seconds mearly.
There are secrets that I have kept from you,
Buried in the ocean blue,
Pry for them if you dare,
For you can see clearly once they are bare.

hey I like your poems..."Time for Me to Hide” is nice:
"I have gone away, way up high,
Racing with the birds in the sky,
I have gone where I can see,
Only the movement of the wind in the trees "
I like your idea of escaping the reality and mingling with other creatures..that is when you said " Racing with the birds in the sky,..".
Besides:
"The breeze around me smells like chocolate,
A smooth, creamy, chocolate-y smell,
Running down my throat to my stomach,
Filling, satisfying."
It is the first time one tackles the idea of comparing the breeze to chocolate ... well I adore chocolate especially if you mentioned Toblerone I would appreciate that
Well done... keep it up
Libra.

Since opening new topics would push the already existent further behind, I decided that I would post a piece of my poetry here.
I hope cdsg23 doesn't mind. I'll remove it if s/he does.
I'm one of them now
I feel stark sorrow and joy.
I talk in decipherable terms;
I’m civil, I wonder of harmless happenings
I have chained my neurons
To the mundane textbooks of today
I speak of winning, as if there is only one way
I dare not, of a path untrodden.
It pains me deepest, the thought that the switch
May be permanent, not sth guided by will
Become something I can settle for, be calmer with.
I used to wander, free, unbridled.
I would laugh, and cry, and my eyes would round
At the death of innocence
I have a pace, a path now. Did I ask for this?
Or did I not, and was it thrust?
Sadly, I may never know.
Much more sadly, even, I may never seek it.

Great stuff you guys. Heres a little piece (not as great though) that I wrote sometime back.
Isle of Misery
Once again I stand where I always stood
Waiting for a future not chosen by me
My eyes manage to see only what lies ahead,
Though my heart refuses to agree
Alone, on the tip of my broken bridge
I stand again where I always stood
I look towards the end of my bridge
I see my life, the way it should
Born in the isle of misery
I wander around looking for the shore.
I reach the shore but only to find
An ocean lies between what I was looking for
To build a passage I collect some rocks,
Some wood, some thorns and strands of rope
Once again, from my isle of misery, I start building my passage,
My only way towards the isle of hope
Pulling me down is the weight of every rock.
Cutting me are the thorns I hammer with bare hands.
My mind rationales moving back but my heart disagrees
For the more I bleed the closer to the isle of hope it stands
I stop, look up and there it is
A hundred feet away, my existence.
Being able touch the love in life
Even with a hundred feet distance
Bruises no longer hurt and the body feels no pain
Up ahead lies the ray of light
And a gentle rain
That lifts the soul with feelings bright
A loud wave I hear on the tip of my toe
I look around and see the violent ocean passing below
“Please, not again, I am only a hundred meters away this time”
My simple bridge about to give way
Should I run back or fall into the sea
Not knowing how to swim, gone forever I will be.
To my isle of misery I have time to return
“Is it worth it” is my only concern
Now I am running to what I have always run from
Once again I feel my heart going numb
Oh what irony is this in my life
I am running face forward into a sharp knife
A knife that cuts, a knife that bleeds
I am being hurt, for unknown deeds
In the isle of misery I am back once again
Maybe it is here I was destined to remain
I cannot live, yet I am unwilling to die
I cannot laugh, yet I am unwilling to cry
More cuts, more wounds, more broken memories
My heart, my mind are the casualties

Well, I like it for two reasons... Its winter times and freezing here so tea is okay with me with that interesting emphasis you made about that in the 1st and 2nd line and the second reasons is the use of numbers which is quite new and elastic
btw... I suggest Pizza for the next poem ... Lunch time.

Here is my poem.
That Day
That Day
I stood in the hospital yard
sending a message to my self
"You Are Free!"
That Day
I saw the radiance and colors
of the summer again
"I Am Free!"
That Day
I felt free and released
As a fish dancing in the water
or a bird soaring in the sky!
That Day
I disappeared in the flow
of people and traffic
Safe and sound again!
(For a period of time I suffered the slings of attacks and denials against me. Then one day suddenly I felt that I would not apologize for my existence or my being myself. I freed myself from the bondage of self-doubts.)
