One day a man was walking along a beach when he noticed a figure in the distance. As he got closer, he realized the figure was that of a boy picking something up and throwing it into the ocean. Approaching the boy, he asked, "What are you doing?"
The youth replied,"Throwing a starfish into the ocean. The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them back, they will die."
"Son," the man said, "don't you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish? You can't possibly make a difference!"
After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish, and threw it into the surf.
Then, smiling at the man, he said, "I made a difference for that one." - Author Unknown
What do you all think of this?

I really like that, and well it says a lot about society as a whole and the things we do I think. If everyone had the view that way bother taking the first step if you feel too small to leave an imprint then nothing would get done at all.
We cannot save everyone, or the world, but what matters is those that we do touch, and the hope that if one boy throwing starfish into the ocean will inspire others to come and join in and when you get enough people together then you really can make a notable difference.

"You do not have to be a scientist to do science; you can be a child, a computer, or an intelligent rat. As long as you can verify a result, it is part of science."
