Honestly, there are few movies that are better than the literature. I read da vinci code and I absolutely loved it, I haven't seen the movie yet, there's so much controversy over it, there are bound to be some people who don't like it. I can't wait to see it though, if just for Tom Hanks's hair. As for Angels and Demons, I haven't read it because I heard it was worse than da Vinci Code, I think he wrote it first, but published it after...weird way to do it I think.

I thought that the movie followed the book pretty good for the most part, about as well as any movie can follow a book as there are just somethings in books that cannot be properly transfered to movies. I really do not know why so many people are complaining about the quality of the movie unless those people just did not read the book. One of the good things about the movie I thought was the way it stuck to the book and did not go all hollywood, but I guess a lot of people found that bland becasue they are use to the way movies usually are.

I read the Davinci Code and Angels and Deamons. I thiught both of them were great. As a result of reading them,I started looking into other stuff like gnostism, esoterica, Mary Magdalene, Templars etc.,etc. I read the Dummie book on Leanardo . he was unbelievable!!! I havn't seen the movie yet, heard different opinions on it. Some really like it some really don't HA!

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I read the book and thought it was really good. was well written, and I'm still amazed Dan Brown could think of such a complex and intricate storyline.I'm curious about the movie, seeing as there was so much hype. I don't expect it to live up to the book, but I hope its good at any rate. My history teacher has read Angels and Demons and said it was excellent, so I think I might try that one next.

I've read the book and seen the movie. The book is better. The movie moves along quickly during the first hour and then slows down considerably.

yeah, the da vinci code was a good book... the movie was a bit slow, but the visuals helped me understand what the book was talking about...
angels and demons is really good also, but monotonous at points...
where does dan brown come up with this stuff?

i liked the da vinci code, but i don't think i'll like the movie at all so i'm not going to see it, i don't think anyway. and i've heard that anyone thats read the book will hate the movie, and if you hadn't read the book the movie was a little slow and boring. you have to judge movies made from books two ways; how it stands next to the book and how it stands on its own.
i've read that demons and angels is MUCH better than the code. i'm reading it off and on now and i like it better so far.
