Hello everyone! Long time no visit... Well, I've found myself in a bit of a sticky situation. I have two weeks to memorize a script and compete with it for speech. Only problem is.... I don't have a script yet! So, if anyone can think of a humorous script for a male and female to perform duo that's appropriate for high school judging and lasts about 8 minutes long, please let me know. It can also just a scene from a book or play if a funny one comes to mind. Thank you for your time. ^_^

What is it with people and classics? Why can't anyone talk about more subtle, less widespread books? I just do not understand why people always hail the known classics and never regard others. I mean, Shakespeare to me was poor in some aspects. Like "Romeo And Juliet". Has some nice similes and speeches but a poor play indeed.

i like shakespeare's word games, they are funny and cordial.
i read "romeo and juliette" in three languages, i think i like it too :lol:
but i really suprised when you react like that to classics. 8O
i dont only read classics, but i think the ones i read were more books than they seem for me.
of course tastes are relative.

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen might be good there are some good secenes between Elizabeth and Darcy

look into the play it's all in the timing. there's a good scene there between a guy and a girl, and it's hilarious. i forget the title of the scene, but i can update you on that. only thing is, my friend was in it, and she said it was a hard one to learn. but that's my two cents.

oh by the way. if you were looking into that scene i was talking about before, it's called "sure thing." and the play's called "all in the timing."

Thank you sooo much everyone! I think I'm going to do two scenes from The Brighton Beach Memoirs and one from a book my speech coach had. -_-' Well, thank you all! I love this place... I miss it a lot actually....
