Ok i want to post a poem of mine up here... it is like the only poem of mine i actually like lol... but no one that I know relly gets it, even tho to me it isn't that hard (of coarse I did write it.. lol) but yeah.. let me know what you think...
What would you do to silence the sickness and pain of uncertainty?
How many limbs would you be willing to risk
To loose reality,
And how many limbs will it cost you to face it?
How can you hold you head up high
If there is a kink in your neck?
And how would you stand up for truth,
If your spine is crooked?
If the worst thing you can possibly do
Is stay exactly as you are...
Where do you go from there?
Jean Hobbs..
didn't relly want to put my name on the site... but I have to site it lol..

hmmm... you have to stand up straight, stick your neck out, go out on a limb (so to speak). the only way life is worth living is to take a chance with the uncertainty every once and a while and change reality.
did i get it?
even if i didn't, i like it. nice work.

It wasn't really waht i was thinking when I wrote it, but it ties in with some of the thoughts I had.. I really like the way you intrepreted it!
Most of the people i told it to saw it as something to do with what's the point of living?.. and that is completly not the message that i was trying ot get across..
I would be more frank and just say what I was thinking but i want to wait and see what other people think first.. The ways the human mind works amazes me, and thanks for replying!

ok first i really liked it!
what I understood was that...it's kind of hard to explain but I'm gon try!
there's the idea of appearance vs. reality and consequently our decesion as to which one we want to live...
I hope I wasn't completly off!

... I THINK WE ALL NEED MOTIVATION AND TRUST IN OUR MINDS, TO MAKE ACTION ,TO FACE REALITY AND THIS REALITY NEED TO BE STRONG TO SAY IT EVEN WE WILL DIE FOR IT OR MAY LOSE MUCH BECAUSE OF IT TOO ...

you must stand up for what your believe in, even it it costs you. do not look at others faults without finding your own. you must always keep on moving ahead, and keep on the road. thats my personal interpretation.

Without uncertainty you will never know what it is like to believe something because of what YOU think- not what someone else told you was right. Uncertainty will drive you to question meaning. May it give you the strength to always find curiousity insatiable and may it fuel your refusal to live on the surface.
What do you have if you lose reality- Reality is diversity- without diversity you have monotony- within monotony lies nothingness.
To go without the kink in your neck your head will always stay at the same level- which in turn will place you in the last stanza of your poem- "to stay as you are".
To stay as you are is the action of a coward- Would you consider such a state?
