Ther is a famous poem that describes the battle during an 18 -19 century war between Turkey and Russia. It starts:
"There were brave men and bold,
In the days of old
In the ranks that were led by the Czar.
In fact quite the cream
Of the Muscovite team
Was Ivan Skavitsky Skavar"
And goes on to say something like:
"And storm a redoubt
They would always shout out
For Abdul El Bulbul Amir"
Then it goes on to describe a battle between Ivan and his rival, Abdul El Bulbul Amir
That is about all I remember. It was recited to me when I was just a Boy Scout by a wonderful Scout Master, now long gone.
