On the white wall
Crimson flower
Blooming from my chest
Grab the knife
You put it there
I pull it out
Sprays of crimson
On the black floor
Crimson smeared face
Tears wiped away
Dancing to
The slowing rythm
Heart beat barely there
Smearing handprints
Pool on floor
Find the balance in it all

i've got it on the tip of my tongue, or rather the tips of my fingers, but i can't make it connect and come out right. its something about the black and white being equal but opposite and the fact that even though they are so different they are still both able to hold and show the crimson on them, even if its still different. if only i could explain what i want to say better. is that even close?

This poem is about the light and darkness in us all. The fight between right and wrong. Life and death. It's about finding how to balance them so that one does not overtake the other. This person is looking for a way out when they really should be looking for the way in.Not as complicated as the words make it seem.
