i think fşrstly you must start to learn differences between the main point of views and tecniques in psychology. so an introduciton book can be usefull. i think before to learn rosenthal you must read about introduction, "self-fulfilling prophecy", perception, motivation, attitudes, etc.

So...enjoy your reading...and search any reviews, articles or books that have been written about his work. I personally advice you to look into psychoanalysis, as you may learn many interesting ideas, explained from a psychologist's point of view.

dostoyevsky is good idea, ut i am not agree with roxanna about psycholoanalyses. there are many deficits and contraditories in it.

I know a lot about human psychi. If you have any trouble to know somebody I can help you a lot!! No need to learn Fat Books! Its all the game of words I think!
