Hi, I'm new to the board and I was wondering if any of you could help me. I'm looking for a book, I don't know the title of it but I believe it's a classic.
The story is about a poor woman who borrows a pearl necklace from a very wealthy woman. The poor woman either loses the necklace or it breaks. To pay her debt she works for the wealthy woman for years and years, only to find out in the end that the pearls weren't even real.
If anyone knows the name and/or author of this story I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much.
